Jennifer Gille, 29 - who was fully clothed at the time - hailed a cab in Covington, Louisiana at around 2am in the morning and asked the driver to take her home to the state of Michigan, some 1,200 miles away.
The driver understandably refused, which upset Jennifer, who launched a bizarre protest by stripping.
A police report on the situation stated: "To further complicate matters the female began acting crazy and took off her clothing, demanding the cab driver take her to Michigan."
Distressed, the driver took her to the nearest police station, but as he went to get assistance he left the keys to the car in the ignition. Jennifer promptly stole the taxi, but didn't get too far. The car was found a mile or so away with her asleep, still n aked, on the back seat.
A police spokesperson said she was "probably under the influence of some type of chemical".
